As we are truly inspired by the S/S 2017 collections, our theme for HERMÈS Q1 is to create contrast by using natural materials. Loving every details of the craftsman ships that had made all the individual pieces into art, we begin to think how we can integrate all these elements into our windows.
We want to show a bold statement by combining 2 things that are very different from one to another, using natural materials with key design elements to create contrast and highlight for each sense of objects, such as hard wooden nails with soft blanket/gloves to emphasis how slim and graceful the blanket/gloves is, combine brushes with shoes to represent walking on a fluffy path like feelings.
Not only we are playing with contrast of the objects, we also amplify the techniques that was used in this collections, the pleats works that was used in women’s RTW and also the tie-dye technique that was used in men’s RTW.
