"Qiu Ying's 'Scenes of Bustling City Life in the South' depicts the metropolitan life during the Ming Dynasty. Set against the backdrop of the Ming Dynasty, this artwork combines Western-influenced coffee culture with Eastern traditions, introducing the mystery of coffee to the Eastern people who were accustomed to tea as a leisure beverage. This fusion of Chinese and Western cultures gives rise to the coffee houses that serve as gathering places for Ming Dynasty literati."
